• Folders were handed out at the door to all members, containing important information and forms for the upcoming year. Extra folders are available in Mrs. Hitchler’s room. IMPORTANT DUE DATES: All forms found in the Drama Club folders are due September 7th. Everything MUST BE turned in by this date. Any money should be placed in the clear box located by Mrs. Hitchler’s desk. It must be in an envelope with your name and its purpose written on the front. NO CASH, CHECKS ONLY PLEASE!
• Officers were introduced. The 2007-2008 officer team includes: Katie Wisnieski, President; Melissa Ranney, Vice President; Brittany Boyers, Treasurer; Danielle Fuller, Social Chair; Katie Hunter, Secretary; Alicia Morris, Costume Chair; John Macbride, Web Master; and Karl Achey, Education Chair.
• Melissa Ranney discussed Point Cards: All Drama Club members earn points for doing theatre related events. When a member achieves ten points, they are inducted into the International Thespian Society, which is like NHS for theatre students. For a student to earn ten points, they would need to be involved in two plays in two areas, come to all drama club meetings, and do some community service. Everyone in Drama Club needs to fill out an information card, including juniors and seniors. Sophomores and new members need to fill out a blue card to get points for their junior high experience. The information on this card should include the name of the play, what role/job you performed, and the type of performance (musical, one-act, play, etc). Anything done starting sophomore year to earn points should be documented on a manila card (non-inductees) or a yellow card (inductees). Cards should be updated at every meeting.
